The president of Jindai High's Student Council is a third-year student. He frequently views Sousuke's actions as reasonable responses to the situations he encounters, much to Kaname's frustration. This perspective leads him to assign Sousuke the role of Security within the Student Council. His demeanor is consistently calm, and he is never seen losing his temper. There is a mutual respect between Sousuke and Hayashimizu. Additionally, he is known for carrying a white fan, on which various Japanese characters are written. The words on the fan change each time.
