A former classmate of Yuu's from his previous high school, she persuades Yuu to agree to a three-month trial period where she acts as his "girlfriend." During this time, Arimi tries to make Yuu fall in love with her, but ultimately fails, as he still views her as just a friend at the end of the period. Consequently, Arimi has a deeper understanding of Yuu than Miki does.

Miki's indecisiveness between Ginta and Yuu frustrates Arimi, who believes that Yuu deserves someone who can fully commit. In an effort to separate Yuu and Miki, Arimi teams up with Miki's suitor, Ginta. However, she eventually notices that Yuu genuinely cares for Miki, leading her to abandon her pursuit of him. Sometime later, Arimi develops feelings for Ginta, and they start dating.
