Full name Arystar Krory III, he possesses two distinct personalities: a soft, kind, and overly-emotional side, and a fierce "battle-mode" side. His expressions clearly indicate which personality is dominant. In his gentle form, his multicolored hair hangs loosely, but during combat, his eyes turn menacing, veins bulge on his face, and his hair stands up, giving him a monstrous appearance.
Before becoming an Exorcist, Krory lived in a castle, shunned by the villagers who believed he was a vampire due to his attacks on certain villagers and his stereotypical vampire-like traits. Unknown to them, his teeth were made of Innocence, which instinctively attacked Akuma. Even Krory himself did not understand this until meeting Allen and Lavi.
Krory fell in love with Eliade, unaware that she was an Akuma. Allen and Lavi, who often tease him by calling him "Kro-chan" or "Krokins," eventually recruit him to become an Exorcist. He is still adjusting to life outside the castle.
Krory's unnamed Innocence resides in his teeth, but its power lies in his blood. It grants him feral abilities. When activated, it provides immense strength and allows him to drink Akuma blood for regeneration and temporary power boosts. He can also drain Akuma poison from others before it fully takes effect, though he is not immune to it himself. His body breaks down the poison, but when weakened, it cannot fully process it.
Krory can inoculate his blood into Akuma, poisoning and killing them quickly, though this greatly weakens him. Inspired by Miranda's comment about crimson snow, he named this ability "Crimson." He can also fortify his flesh by wrapping blood around his hands, manipulate blood within his body and to some extent others', and even detach blood to create a nearly invulnerable winged blood mannequin called "Bloody Krory." Using this technique exhausts him significantly, similar to the blood inoculation.
