REAL Chapter 12 Discussion

After working so hard, his dream has been shattered.

It was sweet to see the dad accepting his ambitions even massaging his legs, sadly the dream ends here.

It happened at the worst time too.

Even if he wasn't a sprinter there would have been no stopping it.

But it's only one leg

                Ah, that was heartbreaking stuff.  Dad helps Kiyo out, but in the end he stops so short of the finish line.

His dad finally realized that he should do his part in supporting his son and gave him a well-deserved congratulations before massaging his pained leg so he wouldn't be so burdened by it.



He was so close to winning the championships but his last run and his whole career as a sprinter ended right before it even finished. If osteosarcoma's the same disease that killed his mother, I can only imagine how devastated his dad would be to see his son's dream get crushed like that.
