are U doing a personal review of every comic on the forum? I get these notices all the time lol.

hope your enjoying the masterpieceYes, I am. But apparently I pick comic no one is reading anymore. But I have to say this story deserve love not just for it's art but it's story as well. It is slow in terms of plot progression even though a lot happen every chapter but it's great. Not a generic rebellion Cyberpunk.

I mean, it has been a while since it was released. Most reactions on the forums are for recent manga releases. With that being said, it's cool to see your reactions!

I've read it not long ago as well, and it's really enjoyable, and so much more happens than in the movie too.Hopefully. Sunrise executive do not botch the production of a new Akira adaptation. Otherwise. the story will never get attention as much the movie those.

[I am reading the DarkHorse issue of Akira. Here 120 chapters are converted into 38 parts. And the sequence of event is mixed up to match the new format. So, I know how many chapters I have read but do not know what part belong to which chapter.]

Yes, the Coup d'état happened and Colonel realized the cultist have children with powers too but apart from that there hasn't been much progress. I feel like a lot of content could have been cut from the story. As they don't have a huge impact on the story. We are slowly moving toward all the important portion of the story. We still haven't gotten answer as to why the experiments started or who did the army realize can gain psychic power.

We haven't gotten any backstory on the terrorist organization Kay and his brother works for or why. We haven't got Nezu's reason for betrayal either. Along with the fact what significance Akira have to the cultist. More than 1/3 of the story is complete and at least one of these question should have been answered by now.
