Hayate no Gotoku! Chapter 387 Discussion

Fantastic chapter! Not even a troll chapter, it's an independence chapter. Hayate no Gotoku is a comedy first. The story, however amazing, is secondary. It's like Hata is filtering his audience: "Didn't like this chapter - not a manga for you, better leave". I love it - the manga lets the readers know that it won't become whatever they want it to. I respect Hata so much right now.



Not to mention I missed Wataru a lot lately.

Lol that trolling. And yeah, it's this kind of manga, dragging important things.

Pretty boring chapter



best bit was the final box 'This is the reality of this manga', because it subverts the usual case where when there is a crucial meeting with a character rarely seen, a crucial event usually occurs, but also because this manga couldn't be further from reality, and yet it's very much in line with how this manga operates, so it juxtaposes the notion of reality within manga, within this manga, and by the use of the word reality our own perception of reality. I don't know if Hata meant it to be this clever in jap but it sure became that way, at least for the perceptive individuals.

I hate the author so much for doing this, and I hate the Saki even more.

This made me laugh. Then again, I was laughing at people every week of Endless Eight.
