i knew people would feel cheated by this chapter.

quite expected.

especially since word on the street is that the anime (as disappointing as it is) has some connections to the manga (while, remaining as an original story), I expected Hata to come up with something to push the arc until after the anime.

5/5 because that was an amazing trolling. This is the manga we're reading alright, as sad as that is.

We got trolled this chapter but it was still funny.  However, it also might be a way to lead Wataru into going to the meeting somehow especially since he has a King's Jewel.

Dang, and after I wrote a lot about why this chapter was one of the best of the series...



Let me repeat.



This chapter is NOT a troll chapter. This is a REMINDER chapter, a FILTER chapter. Also an INDEPENDENCE chapter. Hata is clearly stating: "Hayate no Gotoku is a comedy first manga and I won't change it into whatever you want me to. If you don't like this chapter, consider dropping this series, you're not the target audience, you're not the kind of person I'm creating HnG for. Peace". I give the man my respect.

The only way he pampers to the audience (that clearly doesn't know any better) is keeping Hinagiku around, but as bad as she is, who knows, maybe Hata actually likes her and it's his own decision to annoy me with her. In that case - cool.
