Wow, Ritsuko is starting to show her crazy side. Awesome additional scene that wasn't in the anime. And Misato is on the trail of trying to figure out the truth behind what's going with Evangelions and Seele. And volume 8 ends with no Kaworu showing up, like was hinted at, at the end of volume 7. Oh well, never did like him much anyway.

Ritsuko went pretty much mental there, alongside the subtle foreshadowing of her mom doing the same. Very well done indeed.

Looks like the next chapter will focus on Asuka, which is good news. Also, judging by the cover, Kaworu might finally make an appearance in the manga, in proper clothes I might add.

----------------------------------------

Ritsuko lost her cool there for a moment.  All in all, this volume was not very impressive.  All the chapters merely were laying the groundwork for the rest of the story, and the death of Kaji was the only really significant event.  I personally greatly enjoyed this volume, but it is most likely due to the fact that I well know the story because of the anime.

Like mother like daughter, both hate Rei. Btw it's never explained why Ritsuko changed her hair color

Whoa at Ritsuko attempting to choke Rei, I think I liked how that was handled better than the anime. Instead of showing her mother, a character that isn't a major player, doing it we are shown Ritsuko choking Rei and then alluding to her doing the same thing as her mother.

I'm both excited and alarmed at Asuka's phone call. Excited because it was probably my favorite part of Eva TV, but alarmed because it's a pretty fucked up sequence.

Asuka is the best, everyone else is mental

Ritsuko's a crazy bitch.

She did look way better with her natural hair color though, I have to say.
