Neon Genesis Evangelion Chapter 17 Discussion

Interesting little conversation between Rei and Shinji. He opened up a bit, admitting his apathy, and then thinking he is telling her this because "She has even less than me". Some foreboding words from Rei near the end.

                        I found it interesting seeing the gender role reversal that occurred in this chapter.  Rei is taking the masculine protector role, and Shinji is taking a more emotional effeminate role, though he is more manly in the manga than the anime.

Idk bout yall but I fast forward through all the pseudo science the story tries hard to make sense of even though it's cool and all

Cool little character interactions at the end

Still not a fan of the military talk, uninteresting

And a lead-up chapter to upcoming angel fight. I can't wait to see it. This chapter was pretty good, as in there was a lot of Shinji and Rei interaction.
