Anyway looks like the translator's putting a lot of effort into Toji's slang

Poor Toji got totally owned there.

Rei and Shinji's apartment scene was as always, pretty nicely done.

Manga Ayanami is perfect femdom material

Shinji was so flustered, yet Rei seemed to not care at all. Well, except for the glasses. I loved Shinji's hilarious attempt to make Rei laugh/smile. Poor Toji.

Shinji is so much cooler so far. That scene with Toji was awesome. I can't believe he did that. It's awesome.



And the classic apartment scene. Not surprising that Shinji still freaked out about it, even though he has a stronger character in the manga.

Better attention to detail when it came to Rei's room

                        I can’t think of a single scene that characterizes Rei better than what happened in her apartment in this chapter.  She cares so little about herself, but so much about those glasses.



I’m also surprised at what Shinji did to Toji.  I like that he is a stronger character, but it is weird to see him be a dick.

Rei is straight up emo and Shinji is straight up coward

lol at Shinji's attempt to make Rei laugh and the callback to the previous chapter with the two now being even. Most of the people covered what I thought of the Rei/Shinji scene, all I can add is that while I appreciate using that old cliché for the purpose of actually developing Rei's character, I still can't say I'm the biggest fan of it.

So far this shinji's got like 10% more balls than his anime counterpart...still he is such a pussy lmao
