Maan i felt this coming but i was secretly hoping for it to go longer, once i saw senzui died and the elder survived plus the some of the bad guys turned good i was worried that it might end soon, and here it is..It has been a long run and i've been following it for 7 years, gotta say its one of my favorites.

Hopefully we'll see another great work by the sensei :)

Wow I didn't realise that this series was so close to finishing. This chapter felt a bit rushed towards the end :(

so the whole series is just about kicking YAMI's butt?

Did this horrid, sexist garbage finally get cancelled? Wonderful ^^

Obviously this is not a normal ending. Sure the storytelling wasn't exactly solid but it is still sad when i see a work ending absurdity like that.

Kenichi in the end never became a master, him and Miu never developed, lots of relationships never were developed etc.

Disappointing to say the least and with such ending i will have to drop the score i will give it.

Why some people thinks that if a manga ends it's because it was cancelled?

Because they've read Bakuman or have learned about how the Manga Industry works some other way. It's all about money, the publishers will milk a property for all it's worth, until the sales of the tankubons, ergo the profit, starts to dwindle. Once the decline is statistically a fact, the author will be given a number of weeks to wrap his story up (which is what is happening with Bleach right now), as the manga is "renewed" for further publication at certain points correlating to the number of chapters produced (the original run is 20 chapters to determine if a new manga is going to be kept or cancelled as an example).

Only the biggest names in the industry are ever allowed to finish their stories as they please, and sometimes even being the biggest mangaka in Japan won't guarantee you can end it when and how you please. A good example of this would be Akira Toriyama and Dragon Ball, which he intended to end after Frieza's defeat. However, his editors "talked" him into continuing it for the sake of profit.

When you know how the industry operates, it's easy to spot various signs pointing towards cancellations and such. You are an idiot.

I do not know what kind of expectations you have from manga but both Bleach and HSDK are quite a succesfull hits that earned a lot of money and readers for their companies. If titles like those are ending it's certainly NOT because they are cancelled.

Yeah, the key word being they "MADE" money.

Once a series is way past its prime and the sales starts to considerably drop, the publishers will start to look for the replacement to make more money.

Everybody with even the slightest insight into what goes on in the manga industry KNOWS Kubo Tite has been asked to wrap Bleach up.

Do you seriously think it's a coincidence that Kubo suddenly started the final battle after announcing Bleach was going on for another 10 years? They told him to wrap it up, which he begun to do, before starting another training arc in the middle of things which started another crisis meeting at WSJ, a five week hiatus for Bleach and a restart where Kurosaki has already completed his final training. They prematurely ended the anime for the exact same reason.

Mod Edit: Removed insults.

Can't really say anything. Originally this series was decent. Over the time it became a fan-service piece of junk with the main plotline being confusing and full of asspulls.

Damn so it really is ending. T_T

I just knew something was fishy the moment Senzui died so fast last week, and he was the main power source for Yami.

Still pretty awesome chapter, and I'm happy with how things turned out (Kushinada and Ogata, my favorite 2 Yami members are, still on the run woooo)

I really hope the big announcment is either a time skip (so we get to see Kenichi in his mid to late 20's, going on his Master journey), on an anime to cover everything nicely.

Looking forward to the finale T_T
