After knowing of her novel self's ending, she CHOSE not to associate with ML instead of befriending him because she is not confident that she can change a person on her own (realistic af). But he was persistent and so she gave in and they became friends. So she tried to avoid going to the academy but her family forced her. She tried avoiding the OGFL but somehow she is the bad guy. So with the pattern of avoid > fail > give in, she couldnt help but believe that fate is really against her. It couldn't be helped that she feels unconfident and depressed imo. I could relate to her inner rage that died down quietly to "why did I even try" sob...
[collapse]Honestly right now, the ship may look slow, but its going.SpoilerReynold is a little twisted as a child but honestly as time goes on, he is more normal and their friendship looks healthy even. He banters with her but he can show he cares too.
[collapse]"Ok but is the OGFL sh*t though?"SpoilerIt may seem so at first. Idk yet, but it seems like she was brainwashed. It still pissed me off when she was rude and played the victim though.
[collapse]"Other MLs?"SpoilerNo romance development so far besides Reynold and Serik, a character that did not exist in the OG novel. The other OG MLs are Danae's brothers and a shitty crown prince. I hate him with a burning passion rn, but we'll see.
[collapse] One thing that I havent seen in other novels that this has:SpoilerReynold's mother. She is borderline obsessive towards Danae. Sends chills down my spine. It's still a mystery and I think the author will build more on this.
[collapse]Not all books have to focus completely on romance. Give it a chance! Despite the despair and frustration, there are fluff and funnies too.
