The other reviews already explain problems with the writing and with the characters. All I can add, seeing as how I'm s*upid enough to have read the whole thing, is that on top of those problems, the denouement is pretty worthless. It drags out just like the rest of the story, too much to be really dramatic. And it's just a revenge story. Ha ha, this guy slept with my girlfriend and then he had an unfulfilling life because he was a flat character defined only by being an a**hole, whereas I had a simple but happy family life. There is nothing interesting here. It's not even fun.No shade on the translator here. The translation is fine. The source material is just lacking.
