Edit: the story goes off the rails and becomes a harem/nationalist novel. Contrary to most readers, I found the earth arcs the only mildly interesting parts after a certain point. Even if his logic didn't make any sense... There are a lot of changes in the beginning of the novel so you have to read about 20 chapters (where the kingdom building starts) until you know what this novel is about. This is very similar to stories like Release that Witch, but the focus is more on the protagonist getting stronger than the daily life of his subjects.
