I've been saving this one for a while, so imagine my disappointment when my expectations and reality didn't match. My main problem with this is the fact that the main character is a one trick phony. He doesn't have any redeeming qualities. He's certainly not intelligent. Of course he isn't. To make a story like this work, you have to make the protagonist low on the IQ side. He's the type of character to randomly say stuff out loud when no one should be around to hear him, only for someone to actually be there and catch him saying stuff that only causes more misunderstandings. But that's not even the reason why I stopped reading. I think this story is entertaining only for people who enjoy the trope of 'The MC is weak as shit, but everyone thinks he's some godly hero'.Because as far as I've read, that's what he is. He's been working out and trying to lose weight, but that's as far as he goes.He has to use his time stop ability in every fight (and it has restrictions and cool down as well, which means he can't spam it). Which is good! I like that - but it's completely useless if the MC himself continues to stay weak.He even said it so himself. His time stop ability is useless if he doesn't have enough strength to cut his enemy's neck. That's why I thought the first part of the story would be him biding his time and slowly building his strength. But instead it looks like he's already about to be drafted to join, or at least become a potential candidate, for the Royal Knights (a supposedly op knight order made only from the best of what every nation/race can offer).Let me add as a note that it has been stated that as of now there are no humans in the Royal Knights, which is why the MC is being considered a candidate since everyone thinks he's actually op and could actually become some sort of hero of humanity.Everything is escalating way too fast without giving the MC time to even properly lose weight.Imagine taking early DBZ Krillin and making him compete in the Tournament of Power. It doesn't help that it seems like the story is going to hinge too much on the time stop ability and not so much on the protagonist's growth.19 chapters is nowhere enough to judge a story's worth, but I've jumped to the latest chapter translated/available to see if I was wrong. It turns out the protagonist still has to use the time stop to defend himself.I'm not going to say that the story is bad. After all, it all boils down to personal taste.Good translation and update frequency.
