TLDR this novel is confusing yet still draws me in

I honestly have no idea how to rate this, the characters weren't really described very well until recent plot developments so I'm finding it difficult to grasp the characteristics of the characters or even which ones are talking. I think something horrible just happened and get angry for them and then next chapter everything's fine all of a sudden and whatever I was angry about isn't a big deal or didn't happen the way I thought. Kinda feels like the Author has a direction they want to go but changes it due to whatever feedback they're getting in the RAW host-site
