As I told my husband when he asked what I was reading, this is a Food And Crime Novel. The chapters alternate between very yummy cooking and slightly gory mu*der mysteries. So I hope that readers have a strong stomach haha, you'll need it for the whiplash!I caught up to the novel from the raws, and what I have to say is... this novel is very strong in the beginning due to the fun premise. Who doesn't want to read a cool detective story plus tasty cooking? I would say it stays strong for the first hundred or so chapters. Unfortunately, it does stagnate somewhat around chapter 150-350, as the main plot/romance didn't progress much in those chapters. Thankfully, the plot picked up again at chapter 350 but unfortunately it seems to have gone on hiatus around chapter 455 - there have been no updates since July.It is a shame as I'm very fond of both the FL and the ML! The climax was shaping up pretty well at that point too. I hope that the author will pick it back up again in the future.Translation so far is fast and decent. I appreciate their speed! The poor translator will probably have a time of it in the later chapters though, some of the intrigue in the later cases was quite confusing.
