reverse harem shoujo-manga-esque scenario
[collapse]lacking any depth in character development, where the male interests fall in love for nonsensical reasons such as seeing the female lead sweat/work hard... a number of times for different characters using the same trigger which further reinforces the one dimensional characterisation; the interactions Spoilerwithin the harem
[collapse]are bland and trivial, forgettable after repeating themselves on a regular basis.SpoilerFurthermore, it is ironic that the female lead had suffered from the "original female lead's" harem only to then create one herself, albeit being absolutely clueless as a bimbo for the most part due to misunderstandings/plot device/sudden IQ loss for the author's convenience. While there are valid logical reasoning behind this narrative, the interest and chemistry quickly dwindled due to the passiveness of the female lead and slow progression as you would typically find in long serialisations. This is made all the worse due to the existence of the predetermined male lead who the female lead favours, which makes it even harder to invest into reading the pointless adventures with her reverse harem doomed to stay second place forever.
[collapse]As someone already pointed out in a previous review (after reading ahead), the comedic elements are just not enough (or even there) to carry the series, which leaves no redeeming qualities beyond the initial concept, as the author fails miserably on the Chekhov's gun principle with endlessly dragging expositions repeated just to farm the last cents of those still paying for the updates on 晋江文学网。In addition, the author has only sporadically posted a new chapter every couple months which seems to suggest the series is on hiatus at the time of writing.TL;DR: one of the most overrated series with little to no redeeming qualities apart from the initial concept and quickly deteriorates in substance to "farm" word count from paid users.
