This is one of the novels which if you don't read then will regret later. If you like Comedy and Slice of Life genre (of course without the cliché clumsy, airhead FL and yandere ML), this is just what you need.Our ML, Fu Sinian, is actually a villain. But who was the *hero*? The author didn't mention. It's pretty unnecessary, I guess. Though Mr. Fu is supposed to be cruel and ruthless, but honestly throughout the novel he didn't display that type of mannerisms, on the contrary he was fairly reasonable and considerate. I mean the main couple had a shot-gun marriage and he was quite ambitious, so should we expect him to be a devoted husband from the start? His shenanigans as a ghost is hilarious. Lol! It's the main attraction of the novel for me. He got fooled by his two-faced wife for three years and how he gets to see her true face is quite comical. And after knowing all this, he instead self-reflects and tries to save their relationship. It's quite rare too among all those alpha dominating cold and prideful MLs. I find it quite refreshing. He respect FL's decision and COMMUNICATE with FL (which doesn't really happen in other novels). Honestly, I would quite like a partner like that.Though the first interc**rse between ML and FL in the novel is without FL's consent and it can be interpreted as r*pe. But I will not let it bother me in this case cause this thing has fantasy undertone to it. You just have to gloss over it.Our FL, Yu Duo, has self-preservation. She protects herself but she isn't a selfish one either. Most of the time she's a cool headed sly person who protects her interests first. I like her character. She isn't someone who let their emotions get the better of them. She knows what she wants.P.S:What is up with the misunderstanding between Yu Duo and Ah Qi, though?! I laughed soooo hard at that >_<A good novel, highly recommended!
