On the cusp of 4 star but gave it 5 anyway. It certainly doesn't deserve some of the low reviews so I want to offset that nonsense.Translation is 4 stars:The translation is very good. A few minor errors but they are not so great to cause a problem. This was my first time reading on Patreon, and I was not a huge fan. First off the author has some random lower level chapters locked under a pay wall. On the app most of these were not locked though so I guess it's an error. But even on the app there are 4 chapters locked for no reason- I ended up reading the manhwa for those chapters as it appears to exactly follow the novel. The paywall is also really steep. I occasionally do buy chapters of a novel I like. But $20 recurring every month is a no way. They used to have a $7 a month but that's "sold out" and even that I wouldn't do. It would be much better to just have a sale per chapter- I'm not risking a monthly charge. That said I really appreciate the good translation and they come out with chapters about once a week which is a good speed. It's one of the better translated stories I have seen. ML is the greenest flag of probably every ML out there. The guy is so incredibly nice, asks for consent every time, doesn't want to confess because he doesn't want to burden her with his feelings.FL is also decent- good at communicating. Bold on occasion but usually shy and kind. She was raised in an abusive house so it takes time to come out of her shell.The Chase family can all jump in a lake and drown. They all suck and are irredeemable tr*sh. But the reviews saying their treatment is unrealistic- I don't want to spoil but I think it's not and I think there is plot reasons, even at ch 149 they are only being hinted but it will come out. Those readers just didn't get far enough (or read spoilers like I did).The story is good but drags. There is drama and angst at the beginning with the family- but they don't appear much once she leaves- this is not a story about them. I would like to see more of them falling apart- it would add some drama and revenge that the story needs. I hope FL becomes mega OP and crushes them all- but I kinda doubt she will. She doesn't have the personality for revenge even though she deserves it.There is no smut at all. It happens- but it's skipped to the next day before anything spicy goes on. Still they love and respect each other and are a great couple.
