meh. I really loved the premise but I've noticed when ever an author tries to tackle a sensitive and serious illness like depression they never can completely do it right or show an unrealistic/plausible reaction from those related. If they wanted her to interact with her family they should not have locked her up in a separate building where her family who didn't care about her kept invading and disturbing her time... even once she found something she enjoyed.I would have really loved this novel if they went about the family interactions in another way. It started off interesting with her being self aware and not changing too much but It also could have been less generic if they fully depicted her depression and gave more depth to the characters
