Like N’Doul was willing to kill himself without hesitation, so was Vanilla Ice. This is a man who has unquestionable loyalty to Dio, someone who would die with pleasure if it was at his request. Dio tested his resolve because D’arby lacked the will to die, but when Vanilla Ice followed through, Dio revived him. He used his very own blood to revive Vanilla Ice which is kind of a big deal for a man like Dio. Dio valued this man that much and he entrusted him to killing his opposers, two of which he had temporarily forgotten the names of. That forgetfulness in the unimportance of his enemies reminded me of when he spoke of the late Will Zeppeli by stating: “What happened to that guy with the flashy hat? Where is he?”
This was a strong start. I’m unsure how Dio revived Vanilla Ice unless he is a zombie or vampire, and I am concerned for the boys. It would make a strong impression if one of Dio’s major allies killed one of the heroes. And in the previous parts, the major villain’s top allies have always done this. Tarkus with Zeppeli, Wham with Caesar, and now it may be Vanilla Ice with one of the boys. With Abdul and Polnareff alone, I fear they will be targeted first. I’d say they would at least see Ice’s super pretty stand, it’s one of my favorite designs, but with how mysterious his power is, they may not even get a chance to.
Also, with the heart design for D’arby and Ice, it seems Dio gives his top brass a uniform.
