As Iggy put, it was do or die. That is what this fight felt like, it was actually visceral and fast paced and brutal. Tearing off legs, ripping through wings, biting beaks, and risking their life on a gamble. It kind of makes sense that animals with some of the most fierce fighting spirits would have some of the fiercest stands. Iggy has triumphed over Dio’s guard bird, and ultimately he was saved by someone. I almost smugly announced: I KNEW IT!! But, it was the boy, it wasn’t Jotaro and co. And I like that, I love Iggy’s relationship with this boy. It’s sweet and wholesome and it reminds me of Polnareff’s relationship with Belle minus the romance. Both took care of each other when they needed it. <3
I was surprised at how creative this fight got too and without needing to announce everything. The Fool using its arms underwater to deflect icicles, freezing the underground, etc. It was a blast. Status: Dead, after so many retired, also got a chuckle out of me.
