Desperately dull. Every character in this story feels two-dimensional; they're all boring and one-note. You need more than "Not Dogblood" to have an interesting story, but the only thing this one has to offer is that its MC is "sensible". In reality, she's a Mary Sue. There isn't a single real difficulty put in her path; matters that a more interesting character might have considered a problem (such as her matchmaking mother) which might have needed some kind of actual resolution are just fine with her. I'm not trying to say that this matter specifically should have been a problem - my issue is that there are no real problems she faces at all! You can write a sensible character with plenty of privilege and still make them interesting by putting them in situations or around other characters where they need to exert themselves in some way and grow or change. There's none of that here.

Pretty much none of the commentary on cliche tropes is at all original or funny; in fact I found it felt patronizing and hypocritical given the misogynistic cliches frequently taken completely seriously by the narrative (women are all vain, can't wear the same dress, etc. - Tired and outdated but frustratingly prevalent). If you're looking for any kind of intelligent satire or sophisticated commentary, you're in the wrong place.

I found myself just sick of reading pretty quickly. Don't waste your time on this.
