If Stardust Crusaders was only the best of its arcs, I feel like it would hold up so much stronger today!!!  This is another one of those arcs I am just loving every moment of.  My brain is racing as I take in the character interactions, the creativity of the fight, and the solutions.

Kakyoin was being held down by Death 13, being fed eyeballs for more of the classic Araki horror in one of my favorite pages, and he recognized what was happening.  The only way he can save his friends, is to let them know about this enemy, but he won’t remember enough to tell them.  So, he utilizes the rules that we already know.  I had postulated that they can spawn in objects so I assumed Kakyoin spawned in a knife, rather it did ultimately end up appearing to be on him the whole time.  Yet, what he did with it was incredibly smart.  I had worried the only way they would know that the baby was an enemy was if one of the heroes came out of their sleep with an inexpainable wound, but if it went that far, I suspected that they would be dead by then.  The baby went further, it stated that it could kill Kakyoin through crushing his heart and not even give them this opening!  Thus, Kakyoin was the one to hurt himself, so that his wound would appear in reality.  That was already smart, but since they were going through a plane crash, he took it to the next level.  By carving “Baby Stand” into his arm, he carried the message to his waking life!

Kakyoin using his smarts is still facing the next obstacle.  How does he convince the others, when he probably can’t fully trust himself?  That said, Jotaro was suspicious of the baby and with its eyes averting, so is Kakyoin.  Outside of that, Joseph reminded me that he is absolutely my Jojo husbando, at least when he’s old.  He’s as funny and charming and badass as ever, but he is so sweet now.  Even more than when he was young.  Comforting Kakyoin after he nearly killed them without any anger, or playing with the baby, or his relationship with Holly or that little girl, he’s so freaking sweet ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.  Which only makes Kakyoin threatening the baby after Joseph played with it look worse than ever.

It's pretty sad to see Kakyoin try to save his friends only to end up looking more insane to them the harder he tries to do it because no one would believe that a baby would be a Stand user. If an orangutan was able to summon a ship, an freaky big-headed infant shouldn't be out of suspicion too.

                        Yet they fall asleep...

*sigh* oh well at least they know what they will be expecting this time.

Exactly ! I don't understand how fanatics are so much more into the young one, sometimes even despising the character as a grandfather.

Not to mention that it wasn't too hard for them to jump to suspicions that the young girl that tagged along with them was a stand user.
