Only read a few chapters tbh. There’s no logic to it. Despite having no support, he wants to present himself as a rogue, on purpose. He’s openly challenging the royal family and making himself seem unreliable. It’s fine not to want allies, but that’s also how you die. Society does not accept people who don’t conform, and if you also present yourself as unreliable, no one is even willing to try and make use of you (this is important bc if no one sees value in you, you can’t work with people who you see value in). The only people who can be recruited are people with very little actual power.idk. It pisses me off. He’s acting like a reactionary teenager who hates the world after his mom died, instead of the logical adult the author is trying to make him out to be.Also the way people are reacting at this funeral is so fake. If they didn’t care when the kids went in, why are they crying and cheering at a dumb speech later on?? Especially when you’re talking about a new era in front of the royal family. That’s a death sentence.AND AND AND I wore a bright yellow dress at 7 years old to my own mom’s memorial. It was a bright and lively memorial because she wanted people to celebrate her life. I know cultures are different and stuff, but no one actually gives a shit. It’s all soooo far from reality
