Egypt here they come, Interesting though, why Dio don't want/want to stay in Egypt?

It was going to be another normal day in school for Jotaro but his mother's Stand abruptly emerging and overwhelming her immediately raised concerns among those in the household. If a person like Holly who wouldn't even harm a fly got something that's mostly used to fight against people of a similar nature, they would undoubtedly find no use for it to the point of being harmed by it.

Dio didn't move from Egypt at all and they've confirmed it thanks to Star Platinum's vision and drawing skills. The Tarot Cards showing names that made a lot of sense of the ones who picked them was nice.

After some humour with Joseph being as brash as always, refusing to wear his grandson’s unstylish clothes, and Jotaro missing his goodbye kiss from mom, Avdol found Holly on the ground with a fever.  With a beautiful shot of her body being covered in a stand, it was stated that stands are controlled through the will or the spirit to fight.  By lacking this, the stand turned on her.  With this we know stands are images created by life energy which are controlled by one’s will.  Joseph and Jotaro stumbled into the room and saw the state she was in, having different reactions.  Joseph’s care and worry for his poor daughter allowed Jotaro to take the spotlight once again.  And the way he responded reminded me of Jonathan!  One of my favorite aspects of Jonathan was his ability to shake off his fear in a mere moment and face what he had to do. This makes for the serious Jotaro to share in that kind of composure and demeanor as he asked what he can do!

With this Dio has inflicted a curse through the stands that will kill Holly, and Jotaro has a better reason to hunt him down than ‘some punks try to kill me when I go to school’.  He used his stand in tandem with Joseph’s remote viewing and with that we got a good look into all the stands.

Specifically, Jotaro’s has great precision and strength.  It can do brain surgery, catches bullets, or here, see a minute detail and sketch it to perfection; the way they realized Dio was in Egypt.  This means Star Platinum, sadly not named by Jotaro, is a brawler with about limitless potential when it comes to the feats it can achieve in its given range.  I’d presume it could throw a rock or something like a sniper shot.  Avdol’s Magician’s Red was listed as being able to use pyrokinesis which means limitless fire abilities.  Joseph’s Hermit Green is the most limited but since he can still use hamon it makes sense; then again I’d wager he can do some other things with those thorns.  Hierophant Green gives Kakyoin the ability to possess people, shoot strong projectiles, and it has long traveling abilities.  This gives Kakyoin a role of utility, especially being able to manipulate people, and use his stand as a scout.

With Dio’s curse, targeting Jotaro, his mom’s condition, Hermit Green being the most amazing plot device I’ve ever seen, the way stands have been introduced isn’t seamless but Araki is so bold and open about this change that it’s a total blast.  Further, a large appeal of hamon for me was that we understood its rules but its rules were so loose that it could do nearly anything while still being understood by us rather than having conflicts ending through randomness.  The stands seem to be about the same, with a general ability we can follow along with but little restriction.
