Why do so many Second Chance MC's just play Videogames?

I would hug my dad at least one more time before the cancer took him from us. That is what I would do with my second chance. 

Off the top of my head, there's Emperor of Solo Play, Rebirth of the thief who roamed the world, and Rebirth of the Legendary Guardian. I know I've read at least 1 more, but can't remember the name of it 

lol There are novels like that? Must be Qidian stuff, huh? Never read any stories with that kind of plot. Well, Ai-chan do read second chance stories, but they're all about making amends and fixing their mistakes in the past, not going back to the past to play games. 

I would like to learn a lot of language and save my money ~~ 

I don't think that the investment novels are outnumbered at all.  There are tons of them out there; just as there are tons of novels about climbing the corporate or political ladders.  The problem is that the people who read these books aren't on NU so translators are disincentivized from tackling them.  In other words, it's just another case of NU not being representative of the kind of books that are being written.  Like most of these underrepresented genres, if you want to read them, it'll be very difficult unless you learn Chinese. 

It's easier to pass off plot contrivences as lucky chances or glitch exploits, allow the escalation to seem lethal but not actually result in anyone dying for real meaning you can keep recycling villians longer and generally lets them have a modern or near future setting while allowing their protagonists the chance to overwhelm their opponents in over the top battles. 

They play mostly VR games which simulate fantasy worlds. That way the authors can get action and adventure in their novels with the MC getting a prescience cheat (via 2nd chance), instead of the more complicated transmigration into a fantasy world which the MC doesn't hv any foreknowledge of.

BTW, I  agree it's stupid. 

Then I'd invest in the company making the games. I judt named those things because the rate of return with hindsight is enormous. Just like if I went back 20 years ago Id put money in facebook or 30 years ago I'd invest in apple and Amazon. I wouldn't waste my time 'playing' the game as my main source of income. There is no way in hell you can go through life without nowing the right things to invest in. Evenif you didn't you could still gamble on sports games for easy money whether it's traditional sports or proffesional gaming. Grinding is just not an effective way of using hindsight. Also God Of Money actually proves my point, why is it outnumbered by brainless gamers? Personally I don't think I would complain as much if most of these novels were written as well as LMS, but they're not.
