Wuxiaworld D**k Move With The Novel's Extra

  • #50
they did the same thing with several other korean novels too

i cannot remember clearly which titles they were but i think it was

Emperor of Solo Play and seoul necromancer station

when it was near the end, the TL would disappear and delay chapters
also not that this would occur for weeks and months before any official notice on why it's happening and they were collecting donations (there was no VIP and WN back then) altho they were not releasing the daily chapters

every time such a thing happened, WW would say the translator MIA/sick/whatever

i think something similar happened with HJC too
the updates just slowly disappeared while still collecting donations. this went on for quite a while before ren stepped in but qidian had set up WN and eventually it became WW vs WN

but yea i cant really remember so don't quote me.

also while everyone is defending WW here, saying it's a platform

you need to remember that it's a CLOSED PLATFORM

if one of macdonalds suppliers gave them bad eggs and you ate the muffins that had the bad eggs, you're not going to say "oh, it's the supplier's fault. not MacDonald."

so yea while they dont deserve the full blame, they do deserve some blame. especially now since they have the VIP thing and they're obviously getting money and it's clearly a business, just like WN

They had a discussion with Munpia and had to take down their completed Korean novels. Continuing the ongoing novels meant they must've reached an agreement with them, maybe a shorter temp license. Do you think they would've been allowed to continue without permission after Munpia or Korean publishers were made aware? ORV was transferred to QI from WW.

You are right. WW could legally be held accountable since they are translating the novel without permission.
But, they have been negotiating with the Korean publishers for licensing rights.
I don't know what happened since as they unpaused all Korean novels, but it's not impossible for them to get permission to publish.

For me, fan translations exist for the fans. It's your choice to support the platform or not.
Compared to groups who split chapters and hold them hostage through patreon, I don't think WW is a big offender.

Complain. No.

Literal slander with no factual basis. Yes. Don't allow people to blatantly lie about people in non-comedic ways on your website.

If there is any gray area let it be. There isn't here. This is a complete and total fabrication made to attack someone who has no responsibility for the problem. Ban it.

Not about being a boss. It's about this being a platform to trash a translators reputation based on lies. Do you know how many people just read the first few posts? Well these first few posts only had negative info, so now everyone who read this morons thread now thinks of the translator as corrupt trash.

This SHOULD violate the rules, this is just BS. It shouldn't be allowed to drag someone's reputation through the mud over nothing, and then not even bother to redact the statement when other people did the research your dumb ass couldn't.
