Your feeling when reading raws (machine translation)

I only MTL if there is a significant amount of translated chapters. It's impossible for me to MTL without first knowing the general outline of the plot.

The feeling I get is like "oh wow so that's what happened in the end" since I mostly MTL the novels that I want spoilers for.

You need to make dictionary/glossary of important names, techniques, locations, etc.
Ex: 楚风- Chu Feng.

During translations the certain words are translated as per as your my dictionary/glossary.

Systranet offers personal dictionary function. Google Translator also offers but it's rather hectic.  You can use fox replace or any add-on if you're using Google Translator.

The best way is to read on lnmtl.com where most series have a good amount of terms in glossary.  The mtl there is bearable for most novels.

Honestly, it 100% depends on the Author's writing ability.
If the Author is good and knows what they are doing, then even a MLT is readable (if someone what funky in places).
but if the Author's grammar is poor or strange, then the it can be really painful.
