Age of adepts ending

So.......
age of adepts has ended at 1532 ended with the most rushed ending ever. Greem as 5 grade adept, settling in fire element plane made a deal with a remnant soul of a 8 grade fire elemental monarch Luis, 2 god crystal for 20 berries that improve spiritual force so he can become 6 grade adept. Ended up being tricked by Luis who is working with the 7 th grade destiny sorcerer and got his body possessed but at the last moment greem broke up his soul and hid the fragments in his body. While Luis is busy experimenting with his new body and killing the artifact spirit of book of plague, the titan who originally killed Luis soul and broke it to fragments appeared again and intend to finally end Luis, forcing luis to escape to abyss. Turns out Alice apprentice sacrificed her daughter of destiny title to give greem a small chance of survival and....................... END

Author is planning to start another novel but after reading this last ending crap I don’t think I will ever read any of his works again, honestly feels like author took a dump on my heart.

Yeah and the author had to end it the worst possible way, by making the main character retarded! I mean forget all those experiences and struggle of hundreds of years to become grade 5 only to be outdone by berries from a stranger. Wtf was he thinking ending it like this

Worst ending of all novels i've read. This is my number 1 hated novel and author now. Here i thought that the immortal mortal novel was the worst ending i've seen, but now that i have seen this, it just toppled it. I am never ever gonna read this author's novel again.

Really? Dang. I put that novel on hold after the battle for setting up his first tower and was thinking about starting it up again. 1500 chapters in and he had only made grade 5? That's just one level above when the plane he's in will be forced to kick him out. Hell, the adept controlling a mid-grade clan that he was forced into a contract with prior to his first planar war was a grade 6 adept.

I just expected more from a novel vastly similar to WMW. It was fairly well done with the story up until I placed it on hold, too. He wasn't really over-powered and survived based on his guile.

Why did the author decide to end it? Is is because it didn't have enough success or because he grew bored of it?
My answer can change if it's one or the other case.

Edit: and this is the worst shitty ending i ever read ever.

I think many people will change the rating of this novel as soon as they finish reading it. Just about everything that could be said that was good about this novel is countered by how bad the ending is. It feels like one of those april fools chapters of a novel where the translator just makes something random happen and kills the mc and says "the end" that is exactly how this ending feels.
