MC had gone crazy due to some poison/gu. She was able to suppress it, but it would become active again if her thought was unstable.
On her wedding day, her wedding dress was sabotaged with some other poison. Then one of the villain revealed himself, and said that he was her half biological brother, XQ.
MC immediately recognised XQ, as in her 2nd life, he was actually her loyal subordinate. She realised that he was the one who leaked out the formula for explosion, causing her to be viewed as mass murderer in her 2nd life.
XQ also revealed that MC's mother was in fact, still alive.
At that point, MC was still able to calm herself, but then XQ threw a severed hand to her. MC recognised that hand, it was the Emperor's, the Emperor who just died the other day, they had stolen his corpse. XQ threatened MC that if she wasn't obedient, he would throw the Emperor's corpse to be eaten by dogs. MC thought of how the Emperor was very sick before he died, yet still thinking about her happiness, so she couldn't endure anymore and became mad.

Geez, feeling frustrated already after the first chapter. It would have been better if that chapter didn't existed, it's ruining all the fate story.
The ML will gain memories of his previous life? If not then sorry but nope, not going to jump into this story.
I don't like angst, but I so hope that ML suffer a bit then try to redeem himself to the MC. Yep.

I actually like. I read the mtl raws up to 200 something chapters. It's pretty good. The mc actually thinks about the long term consequences of her actions like she refused to reveal the formula and secrets of explosives. She plans ahead to secure her future, her brothers' future, and the dynamics of the four countries. I think the mc is much smarter than other teansmigrating mc. 8 chapters and a few spoilers are too early to judge.
I especially love how the mc uses her experiences to change her own life. She lived a hard life, she knows better than anyone how hard living is and makes the decision of not living her life for revenge. She decided not to judge people for what they might do to her in the future but who they really are. She could've ruined the ml life or kill him but she realizes the ml of the 2nd life isn't the same guy who tortured and killed her, he's her younger brother.
There's an abundance of touching and cute moments between ml and mc. Especially since ml finds out mc likes it when he acts like a child or cute. Whenever the mc gets mad at him, he immediately acts all cute and begs for her forgiveness. You actually see their relationship develop and how they overcome distrust between each other. Like I'm at the point where the ml unconditionally trusts mc.
If you want ml to suffer for the torture in chapter 1, he does suffer later on. Like in one arc to save mc, he cuts his flesh out and slits his wrists.

Can anyone tell why ml torture mc and criples her leg and hands and kill her. She didn't make trouble not she beat him and white lotus bitch. Both are brother and sister and both has abusive past and was bully. Why kill mc for no reason. I can't believe people pity ml. He doesn't deserved any sympathize or pity. He should have die or tortured like ex husband of mc from Princess Wei Yan.

Then ML loves her deeply but her feelings are not so? Unless ML also finds some other girl when he doesn't have MC. Well I guess it's just not my preference since I prefer those super devoted love through all lifetimes types. It's really too bad because this ML actually has good characterization with a complex personality. And I did like the MC's approach of not wasting this new life on revenge and not hating ML for things he hasn't done.
