Spoiler: Ending of charactersHelena is tried for many crimes. She’s exposed in a court trial in front of the nobles. Reukis accuses her of the deaths of his parents, the death of Altheon’s mother and many other egregious deeds. He was able to get evidence of her money dealings because the old lady Arienne bargained with Merria to save the young Arienne’s life in exchange for information on Helena’s secret ledgers. Reukis was also able to extract information from Helena’s right hand man, a family member who raised her up to her position. Apparently the man confessed under torture and confession drugs about the crimes involving Altheon’s mother and Reukis’s parents. Helena tried to throw her lackey under the bus but he wasn’t at the trial so she couldn’t use him as her shield. The judge sentences Helena to death by execution mostly because of the evidence of her more recent crimes. In prison, she’s visited by her lackey, Sheul. He wants her to escape but she refuses because it could negatively impact her son. She is eventually executed by guillotine in the town square.Arienne was not prosecuted mainly because of the old lady Arienne’s favor that she showed to Reukis and Merria. Merria took into account that the old version tried to help her and Reukis which shows evidence of her remorse. Arienne also witnessed how Helena was ready to throw her lackey under the bus in the court trial. The fanatic then realizes how little her “god” thought of the lives of her lackey. She shed tears in frustration. It’s only then that she understands that the old lady was right when she told her that Helena would betray her people and use them as shields. After the trial, she leaves with Shannon to live in a remote, quiet village.Dominic, the son of Helena, decides to give up his title and all claims as a prince. He intends to wander in other countries and explore them. He made a pledge with Altheon with the temple as witness that he surrender all his rights to the throne.Useless emperor was injured in a blast with Altheon during the hunting game, thanks to Helena’s lackey. Fortunately Altheon wasn’t hurt primarily because Karina gave him a protection bracelet after learning from Merria that there were dark movements behind the scene by Helena in preparation for the hunting game. On short notice, Karina managed to get a magician to put a spell of protection on the bracelet and she placed it on Altheon herself. The emperor, however, wasn’t that lucky. His hand blew off but Reukis teleported him and Altheon to the temple so they were able to reattach his hand. Ever since that incident, the emperor remained unconscious until Helena’s lackey killed him. The knights guarding the emperor in turn killed the lackey. So the emperor ends up dying on the day of Helena’s execution.Altheon ascended the throne, cut out all the rotten roots and nourished the healthy roots. He ruled unlike his stupid father and quickly stabilized the country. He married Karina without the engagement period since their circumstances were unique. Merria and Lillian wore dresses designed by Karina to her wedding.Merria and Reukis went on vacation to his villa by the sea. He proposes to her in the greenhouse there surrounded by a flower she loves. Merria accepts his proposal with a kiss.End of main story

But it turns out that

Reukis Frederick was the ML
He was the sub ml from the original novel and also the final Villain of the OG story and he accidentally killed his parents when he can't control the darkness( wizard dark power )
