Yes, she didn't die. As far as I remember, I think the ring protected her as its master. The ML promised the MC that he will protect MC's family so he wanted them to leave the place then he will fight with MC's uncle. The ML also wanted to die thereafter since he thought that the MC died.

MC as the new command of the garrison decided to stay and fight one of the boss of the demons because it would be hard for her to protect the soldiers if they stayed. Xia Yunxi left with the soldiers as per MCs command.
MC is having a hard time in dealing with the boss and almost accept that she will be defeated by the boss but ML arrived in time and saves her. ML and his new bestfriend, XY's husband fight the boss and injured him.

I reeeeeeeally like this story, but the translation is slow (but still, thanks to the translator/s for the dedication) and it's already 2000+ chapters.... I'm losing hope of finishing this in my lifetime.....
