I kinda didn't wanna read the MTL, but finding out that the whole mess in the sequel pretty much started because they didn't kill off Duanmu Yao (again) in the prequel killed the rest of my motivation to suffer through the MTL :')

I really liked PGC, but the fact that the author kept Duanmu Yao alive again and again, even though it made no sense that the protagonists should spare her was just too baffling. 

Is there any mention of what is happening on the other side of the Ice Sea? That is, how are LF, HYX, GBY, GQS, Rui'er etc.?
