According to a "reputable spoiler source"(you should know the guy) for latest Volume 52:

1) Bardray hasn't killed Lafaye yet or Lafaye manages to survive without perma-deletion.
2) Weed killed Bardray (normal death, not perma deletion).
3) Dragon Arkyong is on his way at the last page to kill Weed and all humans because Hermes guild "did the naughty".
4) Author goes on indefinite hiatus to prepare for Volume 53. 

Can I ask what happened during the war (51)? Just read about the biowarfare and meteor.

Did Dain got involved in the war? 

I really hope that they get married and settle down by the end of the novel. They make a great couple and one of the few romances in novel where it isn't particularly forced or hastily written. cough stuffed porridge cough.
