so there is a novel (i think everyone knew) and from where i’ve read, the manhwa follows the novel pretty well (it’s a short read w 150 pages i believe). the only difference really is that the novel is a lot steamier (R-19) and goes a little more in-detail.

it’s a baby girl! the chapter is a 2 year time skip and it’s basically baby w Ez (and others) then Ez & Calli having steamy time. i haven’t read it yet but that’s what i’m getting from it.

What are you even talking about, I don’t remember that well so correct me if I’m wrong but on their wedding night, didn’t the FL make him drink an aphrodisiac and then force him to have sex with her?
yeah tell me about it, it honestly feels like I’m basic to reading some cliche shoujo manga XD
But I won’t be surprised if when the FL finds out the truth there’s probably going to be some sad scene where she cries and apologizes then the ML just forgives her for everything, which is kinda dumb imo but I guess we just have to wait and see

I really don’t know where you got that “everyone” from but in relation to TAE (I haven’t read the other), I’ve seen countless people trash 1st TL Ruve, to the point where even I who didn’t like him was tired of seeing all the hate comments. Also I could be wrong but I don’t think that anyone ever tried the justify what 1st TL Ruve did (it was 100% wrong and messed up no debate) but more so bring up the argument that 1st TL Ruve and 2nd TL Ruve were different people, which most people that criticize him still refuse to believe.
Since you didn’t really say I’m just going to assume your not talking about smut manga because I’m sorry for anyone who takes those plots seriously...Apart from that though, I think the reason for this is because everyone interprets/rates things differently (of course that doesn’t make it right) especially based on what they read for. The people that read lightheartedly mainly for the romance/fluff in the story would tend to ignore/easily forgive the ML for the things he’s done in the past and rate the manhwa solely based on the positives whereas the people who are actually reading for the plot will call out all the bs cliches and rate based on both the negatives and positives.
Again I don’t know where you got “everyone” from but I don’t really agree with this part (not about giving the FL a chance) mainly because what you said is implying that every ML gets instantly forgiven which isn’t true. Apart from Ruve, I remember when “The Flower Dance and The Wind Song” got adapted into a manhwa people just instantly blamed Harsen for everything that went wrong in Ercella’s life and refused to look at it from his perspective. I’m willing to forgive the FL but of course she has to actually regret the things shes done the ML and proves that’s she remorseful about it.

Just to join the discussion about MC...
I read plenty across genres that I met a plenty of trashes, MC is merely just an addition to the list. I won't justify their actions or what, that's part of their characterization. What I would like to point is, look for the theme of the story instead of jumping and seeing something you can't stomach.
After reading a few chapters, obviously being a tyrant was treated as an acceptable way up to the throne, as her people fear and worship her power. So yeah, her actions are acceptable and matched the settings. Also, there's plenty of hints that the ML, while submissive and passive, wasn't anywhere near sane as well. He's obsessing over the MC in a different way. He's displaying a low self esteem hidden away by being humble and agreeable. Preparing a love nest might seem romantic, but him investing everything on it while also thinking they're impossible is a good recipe for someone to develop delusional tendencies. So from the start, the story wasn't spring flowers blooming. Even the title says so. That's why despite having r@pe and abuse in the story, it's acceptable for me. Cause I know what I sign up for, it's on the freaking genre! Tho the most important part was that the main cast are all tainted. The theme was an R-18 dark for some reason, ok.
Look, it's the same way wherein it's acceptable in survival genres to have some selfish, cunning, etc kind of Main leads while a gullible and innocent character will be hated. I don't mind those, heck I cheer for them to dug pits for others. But fvk I will freak if I'm reading a light genre and there's some harasser/tyrant character that suddenly grabs people and abuse them. I'll be so disgusted I might drop the story. Anyway, I hope I'm getting across my point.
