I had to find spoilers for the ending

2nd life: mc is dedicated to fighting against xiongnu ppl (so i assume he's some general?) ml was hurt and sounds like he forces mc, mc feels this is humiliating him, i assume love building happens after, but mc still Chooses the country/his family over love/ml , i think he dies in battle eventually.. And tells ml to not follow his body back...And to find him earlier in the next life.

Life 3
Mc ls mentally retarded cause he's missing 2 parts of his soul (一魂一魄) Ml quietly watches over him. With out family to tie him down, mc is obssesed with ml/only cares about him. Then im not sure how, but i think ml sacrificed his thousand years of cultivation to return MCs memories and they live till old age happily after. And i guess they both die of old age?? And mc says"in the nexr life I'll look for you." Ml"ok" mc" you must Wait for me! " ml is just ok..
