In chapter 13? I guess...Hugo, Rowell and our mc were in the garden, they were talking about a song. I feel like the song will play a big part in the future considering how it was left hanging...
I’m rooting for Hugo to win our mc’s heart, he looks like he has a crush on our mc or I’m just being delusional.
Hello. This is Maar, the author of [The Garden of the Red Flowers]. The reason for this notice is to explain the reason TGotRF has not been updated since chapter 50. The bottom line is, the contract for TGotRF has ended with chapter 50. I wanted to continue, but it did not go my way. I have thought about many ways, but none seems suitable. So unfortunately, I had no choice but to wrap it up at chapter 50. I'm really sorry for the half-finished work. I have regret as much as I had affection for the story, so if I had a chance, I would like to continue with the next story, but I think that would be difficult for a while. Therefore, I promise to continue TGotRF when I have a chance in the later future. I will work hard so I can finish my next webtoon until the end. Thank you for loving TGotRF.
Oh my God I just found this today and read all the chapters then search for some spoilers whom the ML is then found out that the author drop out this NOOOOO I want the Marquess as the ML I want Hugo and Rowell as friends. I think Ravin will betray Venny in the future. I hope the Author will change her mind and continue the story pleaaaaseee
Well It's only the beginning. It's too soon to assume anything right now. We have to wait for at least chapter 50 to assume the ml. Honestly I want Hugo to be the ML. We'll have to wait and see
So, this is a summary for chapter 31-50 from what I could figure out with MTL.
In chapter 30, she asks about what the price for a 1000-year-old Prosperity tree would be. She’s told they’re priceless, as there’s only 2 known of in the country. When the Marquess comes to collect the debt, she gives him what she was able to collect, and tells him even if she’s given more time she wouldn’t be able to get more money to pay more. She offers him a deal of going to his territory and growing a 1000-year-old Prosperity tree, which produces mana and will help turn the desert into fertile land.
The Marquess takes her out to the location where he wants to plant the tree, and is impressed again with her nature magic when she uses mana to find a water source underground, for the best place to grow the tree. He accompanies her every day while she uses her mana to grow the tree. She finds out one of the maids is the sister of the maid that works at Hugo’s estate, the one who makes the tea she likes, so she grows a flower for her. When the Marquess passes by and checks on them, Venny grows two types of mana flowers for him, and says she plans to plant them around the Prosperity tree. There’s the blue one called Moonlight, and another yellow one, which can also be used as an herb. She thinks, being a business-minded person, he’d choose the yellow one, but is surprised when he chooses Moonlight (which glows in the dark).
As she gets close to finishing growing the tree, she gets impatient and starts over exerting herself. The Marquess admits she has nothing to attract him, she’s from a poor family, is no good at academics or martial arts, has almost no mana, but somehow he still is attracted to her. Just as she’s almost finished, she over-uses her mana and collapses; when the Marquess realizes something is wrong when she doesn’t come back, he goes to find her and sees the tree fully grown, and the field filled with the Moonlight flowers. She had used her powers subconsciously to finish growing the tree to protect herself from the heat. She then helps him with growing some crops and other flowers in another more arable part of his territory before she returns home. There’s a flashback part that seems to be his mother cursing him? Saying that no one will bless his birth, there wasn’t even any moonlight when he was born and there would be no one to care for him or even give him flowers. So the fact that she gave him a flower, called Moonlight, seems to hold a special meaning.
As for the guys on the expedition, the burning estate was where the bandits were staying. The bandits set fire to the mansion probably to try and trap the knights and to destroy the stolen property. Hugo and Ravine are inside while it’s burning, to verify the dead bodies to make sure the bandits are actually dead and didn’t secretly escape. Luckily none of the knights were seriously injured, and the bandits were wiped out. Later, Hugo and Ravine are talking around the campfire, and Ravine asks Hugo what he thinks of Venny, to which Hugo replies that she’s a good friend.
Venny returns shortly after the people from the expedition (Ravine went to the Marquess territory to pick her up). Her brother still hasn’t returned. She asks the information guild to find him. She holds a celebration banquet for the knights and her friends who also returned. During the banquet, she goes out to the balcony for some air, and Hugo comes to find her with a drink. Ravine is watching the two of them from outside.
She resumes her experiments and is finally successful! Her mana manipulation had improved from growing the Prosperity tree. She’s excited to confirm it because it turns red when Ravine comes in contact with her, lol. To test it again she gives it to her maid and the butler who are secretly dating. After she confirmed that it works, she sends some to her friends. The one she sent to Lowell and Rose turns red. Her master’s stays white, and Hugo’s also turns red. She talks with Julia about how profitable it will be to sell the flowers. She feels like her peaceful daily life has returned.
The raw link is quite like webtoons, it's free to view for anyone and doesn't need a log in account or pay wall (except for the last two eps). I'm surprised.
I can't understand Korean but it seems like MC will make her payment by making a greenery for the rich new character they are indebted with. He has a desert as his home territory. The project takes a few days or weeks so she stayed in his estate. Meanwhile, her friends are tracking down the bandits. I'm not sure if it's the bandits hideout that was burning in the raws or one of the main cast's estate. Anyway, it seems the debtee is slowly growing attached to MC. There was a scene when she was staying at his place and he found her giving out flowers (she bloomed with her magic) to the maids. When he went to check what she's doing, she also gave him a blue flower. Later on, we will see that flower being kept in a vase and the butler wondered about it (not sure, but I think he's suspicious that his master is growing fond of someone, but then he thought "nah, can't be".. This is probably inaccurate as I can't read what they're saying). He usually escorts her to the project site and waits for her in the carriage while she alone goes and do her magic to grow a magic tree. In between, we see what her other friends are doing. We see debtee growing attached to her: when they are riding the carriage home, he covered her with his jacket when she slept from exhaustion (after performing her magic); when he was worried when she collapsed from magic exhaustion; and when he tried to reach out to her in the sunflower field she successfully made but her ml_knight called her and he wasn't able to (?). There is also a scene with the blue flower again, no longer in the vase but preserved in a glass box.
Okay, I'm not talking about the raws, but I feel like orig!ML might not easily break the engagement. Probably not because of love, but because ALL her potential suitors have freaking blue eyes and he knows the prophecy! I'm sus that childhood friend might actually have a crush on her. There was that camp fire when he and knight_ml were talking about something and orig!ml heard their convo behind a tree.
PS: When MC got sick after collapsing, all three of them went to visit her. Hugo healed her.
