Berserk Chapter 369 Discussion

Goodbye, good Astral friends.

The new chapters are great, and I feel like Miura would be incredibly proud of his friend for continuing to carry the torch as as well as he has. With that said, I do have one major complaint; it's that way too much has been happening at once and it's not being paced in a way that allows the gravity of the events to sink in for me. Like, Griffith and Zodd have run off with Casca, Elfhelm's collapsed and all the non-corporeal/supernatural beings (including fucking Puck, who at one point was Guts' only friend) have vanished. All this shit's been happening in the space of 5 chapters and I think it feels a little rushed.

Honestly, I somewhat understood what was going on after reading the comments here.. and I agree, with so much happening (the disappearance of the island! disappearance of astral creatures! What about Puck?!), it feels rushed.. either that, or I have to re-read the manga again as I feel like my memory is very hazy..



But I don't get it.. I don't get it at all... why are the astral creatures disappearing..? where are they going? how come are the isle disintegrated? It was such a beautiful, magical, heavenly, beautiful place :( ..why is Griffith untouched by Guts' massive sword? why is Griffith taking Casca with him, after all this time? why were some peeps burned by the black oozings from the ground and Guts unaffected? what are the black oozings (real masters of the isle.. but what are they?) ? Why did Zodd carry Griffith with him.. am I missing or forgetting something here, what's Zodd's obligation to Griffith? Maybe some of these questions will be answered eventually....

Isma!, Ivalera? Puck?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No No No! This can't be happening! not Puck! He was the light of the series that is necessary for the darkness!

The just total despair and feeling of powerless Guts feels, god damn that hits hard!

And in the last panel, you can see a tiny trial of light that I feel can be easily implied to be Griffith with Zod and Casca.

I can't wait to see if guts can rise above.

It's indeed a sad view - Elf Island totally wrecked, with its residents disappearing due to damage caused by Griffith's presence.

Bit weird development, it's like anything magical gets dispelled and if it keeps going on like this the ending will be guts in care home taking his meds.

this is the third time i cried reading a chapter since they started continuing it again..



We will have to stop for our health. Besides, we can complain, there is the publisher's address, we could send a letter(Japan, sometimes they're too old-fashioned, Who send letter now lol)
