Berserk Chapter 369 Discussion

Everyone look back at the conversations with the Elders in Volume 39. The Spirit Tree in Elfhelm was one of the Spirit Trees that leads to the Elven Path of the Astral Realm. Behelits lead to the Dragon Path of the Astral World. Whenever Griffith destroys a Spirit Tree he is specifically destroying the Elven Paths to centralize all Astral Energy connecting with the physical world to follow the Dragon Path.



This is why all the Elven Astral Creatures seem to disappear in this chapter. The Elven Path is diminished and the World Spiral Tree will be the catalyst to harness the Dragon Path.

Great chapter. I don't mean to downplay the effort that went into it, but the way that Miura executed climaxes was very loud, bold and visceral. This whole segment feels a bit rushed, but it's not too far off from how I think it would have played out if Miura headed it, it just kind of lacks polish in some areas. Hoping next few chapters will have some explanations because the sheer amount of content Berserk has paired with the slow chapter updates isn't helping me remember much of the small details lmao. Still a very good chapter. Last panel was pretty powerful.

Seen a lot of people saying they died. I believe they just vanished to a deeper layer the astral world.

bro they conveyed guts’ sadness so well. Absolutely phenominal, however waiting a month for the next chapter breaks my heart. I don’t mind waiting if they maintain this quality tbh. Also, is this the last chapter of the fantasia arc?

Previous chapter was depressing and dramatic, but this one... this one raised the bar even higher.



Elf Island is gone. Fantastic creatures are gone as well, be it those who were Elf Island's and those who did not (like mermaids). Isma, the half-mermaid, is gone too. Puck's siblings have disappeared, so Puck must've disappeared with them.



And in the middle of this sad landscape is completely devastated Guts. Once again he couldn't save Casca from Griffith, and for another time - even after gaining experience, training hard and sacrificing his own body to the Berserker armor - he couldn't even land a blow.



Good chapter. It had some wacky looking panels here or there (like faceless background characters who weren't far away or part of bigger crowd), but I liked the art. It's great that the quality remains pretty much the same. It'd be awesome if it improved, but at least it's not decreasing.

After seeing Guts come such a long way just to go for a round 2 of his life being ruined.
