Berserk Chapter 369 Discussion

  • #42
page 2 , last panel : it is funny to see the witches and wizards running up a mountain on foot . how about just using their magics ? flying with their brooms ?

page 5 , last panel : i guess elf queen creates 4 elemental pillars to destroy the black ghosts .

i guess elf queen and other super-natural creatures on the island could stay in the physical realm / dimension / world , because of the magic of the island / the giant tree . now that the island / the giant tree was gone , the super-natural creatures cant stay in the physical realm anymore , and they are sent back to their original spirit realm .

but what about the teen mermaid girl isma ? she is from another island , so she is not related to the elf island . she was born in the physical realm , and she has lived in the physical realm for around 15 years .

and they dont show the ashings of puck and ivalera , so there is a chance that they can stay in the physical realm .

last page : guts is making a grave / a tombstone with his sword ?

i guess the next arc is : guts has to save casca , AGAIN .

the human wizards and human witches on the island will give guts and his harem some buffs , some new weapons , then on their way back , they will meet rickert and the 4 indian guys , and all of them will go to griffith 's castle , and they will kill everyone who stands on their way , including human soldiers and monsters .

Except the guts very well done pannels, this chapter was a complete mess and very rushed. Many things happening at the same time and we don't get to see what's really going on. How did guts even survive while he didn't even move from his place? How did the others survive the destruction of the island? What the hell is the skull knight doing? How did the magical creatures vanished while it was established that the physical and astral worlds have merged?

Only guts pannels saved the chapter but it's still the worst out of waht have been released after miura's death.

I really hope (but this is unlikely to happen) that guts can't continue to oppose the flow of things and stop struggling against them for a while. I want to see a depressed guts who goes into a new chapter in his life where he doesn't know what he is doing in the world, it would be exciting to see a farming arc for guts (like thorfin and musashi) where he thinks back on his journey and find new paths to give his life a meaning that might still be related to his past, but this ain't happening for sur. He'll probably just go to falconia and fight Griffith in order to get casca back.

i will say this over and over and over till its burnt into the brains of anyone who knows berserk exists, this is the greatest manga on the planet and there is no universe where thats a debate, you couldnt even say that it hypothetically isnt

Yeah the overall quality just isnt even close, but hey its better than nothing I guess? I would rather wait a week longer so they can atleast draw the faces of the characters.

The peace is definitely over. The fairies are gone too, even puck I assume. Guts has to become the struggler again.

Curious how he will cope and what hope they still have.

No morda though, shame.

I'm kinda annoyed that these aren't being released bi-monthly or released in the standard 40-50 page chapters for monthly releases.

Based off of the artwork on the post-humorous chapters, it has become more obvious that Miura did not let anyone else draw Guts other than himself.

Excellent chapter, really interested in where Kouji and Studio Gaga will take this series!

Edit:
WHAT THE FUCK I DIDN'T REALIZE WE LOST PUCK!?!!!!

As if Casca wasn't enough. Now we have to lose Puck? What did Griffith do to erase all the fantasy from the world?

Hopefully Guts can pick himself up from this situation. He has been getting a little comfortable, and I think that lulled me into a false sense of security. It almost seemed like it was possible that Guts was about to get a peaceful ending. But, I guess the series can't be called Berserk if Guts isn't completely fueled by hatred and rage.

Fuckin' Griffith.
