What are y'all complaining about ? Can you not notice every detail on each panel. Miura is probably turning into a complete perfectionist.

At least he's feating our eyes be grateful

It's crazy, right? I guess some Berserkos got so used to Miura being a genius artist that if each panel doesn't top the previous panel at least every other time, some bitches assume Miura is being lazy and playing Idolm@ster instead of doing his job.

Geez guys, give him a fucking break-- how would you feel if you were working on the single most highly praised dark fantasy manga of all time? That's not even considering how much time one would have to invest in order to make one panel of his as it is-- at the age of 50!

It takes Junji Ito about 9 hours to make one of his (less detailed compared to Miura's though still horrifically gorgeous) panels. Now imagine how long it would take Miura using the same tools? Common sense people, common sense.

Most garbage, useless chapter ever. The story/plot has been going downhill for a while. I'm done with Berserk. Maybe come back to it a decade later just to read the last chapter (if its done by then)

I almost feel like giving us this chapter was even more cruel than going on hiatus, haha. Epic trolling indeed.

One thing that did stand out to me, though, it seems like Griffith is just openly allying with monsters now? I always got the impression that he tried to hide the fact that his army was made up of Apostles. I don't have time to look it up now, but I remember the arena with Apostle fights was kind of a dirty secret in Falconia, and Mule was rather shocked when he first met Griffith's army. I guess not any more?

nah man do you not remember when griffith fought ganeshka the apostles and the human soldiers were fighting side by side?

Hi guys. Not sure if this thread is dead at this point, but reading through your comments there is one important thing I would like to clear up.  Many of you are referring to the enemies seen in this chapter as trolls, however, they are actually giants. Berserk takes a lot of notes from Norse mythology, as seen with the world tree, the mention of mistletoe (Baldur's weakness) and now the Giants or Jötun. Plus trolls were in the previous chapters and they looked nothing like these monsters and were a fraction of their size.

It was verry short and unexpeted. And i got realy worred when i say "Jotunn: part one" that menas that tehre willbe at least 3 parts in a row. I was realy holping to se how Casca and Guts, but Grifith is fine to. And the other interesting thing was that was writen "in the meanwhile" which means that in the real world haven't been soo much time, a year or tow at max.

It makes sense from a narrative standpoint to raise the tension and build up the Casca Guts confrontation further.

But I also assume Miura wasn't quite sure on how he'd handle it and altough I'm a little disappointed by it nonetheless, I feel like it's best if he has more time to plan out how things will go for Casca from here on out.

Still what I'm really bitter about is that he didn't switch to Rickert and Erica's group instead (it does make sense for it to be Griffith, since he was on Casca's mind)

Miura might be pushing this little Griffith moment in between, so that he can establish something new about Griffith (or reconfirm a certain character trait or sth) and afterwards show how tragic it would be if Casca wants to go back to Griffith now
