Berserk Chapter 356 Discussion

No one cares what faggith is doing, yeah we know he's fighting, great. Should have focused on the reunion or rickerts group instead.

It has been so long, i forgot who these characters are, what they do and what their motivations are.



I don't know if it's worth going back and reading what they are about because i might forget again by the time they show up again in few years or whenever...

While Guts is dealing with a screaming non-potato Casca in very dilated time, Griffith is out there fighting giants and winning like he usually does.



If Midland is Midgard mixed with Asgard because of the Astral Roar, how good the place is and that lovely view of Yggdrasil, wherever the giants came from must be Jotunheim and Elfhelm is pretty much Alfheim. Can't wait to see the other realms if that holds true.

Ugh, why are we back to Griffith?  I can't stand him for one, but this just ruined the whole Guts/Casca reunion!  It'll probably be a few years before we return to those two literally.

Berserk takes a lot of notes from Norse mythology, as seen with the world tree, the mention of mistletoe (Baldur's weakness) and now the Giants or Jötun. Plus trolls were in the previous chapters and they looked nothing like these monsters and were a fraction of their size.

That makes sense. I guess we were just so hung up with being trolled that we didn't realize they were giants... I am not sure if one can interpret that as meta commentary or not...
