Well this was dark. Quite obvious to say, but Casca's mind is completely messed up. Completely. Mozgus was hilarious.

A pity this was not included in Volume 39, it would have been a perfect volume ending.

there´s something so satisfying about berserk fanbase suffering with all these unsane hiatus. it´s like some god´s punishment for wanting to force berserk everywhere in the internet.

Umm.. I'm the context of this chapter, using the term 'PISSED' makes it sound like a dirty pun... But yeah, I guess I agree...

So this is what's it like to be a Berserk fan that's caught up on the manga. Having to wait until Winter to see the Eclipse.

Another terrible time to go on hiatus.

Penismonsters in Dickforest remind me H.R. Giger's art.

Not a bad chapter, it was pretty obvious we were gonna get a cliffhanger this time though.



Prediction: whether or not Casca "awakens" will be up to Farnese: either Farnese convinces Casca to return and face her trauma, or Farnese comes to understand and accept Casca's desire to remain mad (I honestly hope Casca doesn't return; it will make for a more unique and interesting story).

This chapter was awful and accomplished nothing.  So they were at the base of the mountain at the end of the last chapter right?  They just fight a couple penis monsters and are still at the base of the mountain?  Shouldn't the last chapter before a hiatus leave you on edge?  If this chapter never existed what would we lose?  Such a boring piece of filler.  It's like his editor said he had to give six chapters before his next hiatus and he really didn't want to bother writing another so this is just like an extended battle scene from last chapter.  Sorry to sound like a hater but that was frustrating!



Berserk's been mostly filler since the end of the Tower of Conviction arc. Monster appears, Guts rages with the ever OP berserker armor and oneshots a bunch of trash monsters while shitting over their bosses, then Schierke snaps him out of it. Done, next.



This chapter actually managed to accomplish a bit more than usual though.
