Nostalgic seeing the old Guts.

Yeah, it's not like Guts spent five story years, seven actual ones and ten volumes apart of a mercenary band. Nope, he's just been the Black Swordsman for the whole duration of the series. Band of hawks/falcon? Who are those.



Yeah, but guts wasn't all that open with his companions of the band of the hawk when he joined them either, he grew closer to them over time. First time Guts showed his feelings to Casca was during the Bonfire of Dreams chapter, three years after they'd met. And back then it was just a transition from his traumatic early life, when he had trust issues with people.



Now, how long have Guts and Serpico known each other? 2, 3 months? And they weren't even that friendly with each other for a big portion of it (Serpico still wanted to kill Guts in Vritannis). And lets not forget that now he's coming from his Post-Ecliple self, who was totally fucked up and a sociopath. That transition should've taken much longer, or at least required more alchohol than what was shown. And it would've been hilarious to se Drunk Guts opening up to his companions and regretting it the next morning.

I got a little emotional when seeing that campfire fragment from Cascas mind.



Can't wait for them to discover fragments of her love-making with Guts, and fragments of the Eclipse... bound to shake some things up.

That's that good life, well not in their case as they're hunted by demons all the time.

Calm before the storm chapter it seems to me. The ominous, foreboding "she may not want the sa,e as you" warning is repeated here. I very much fear that a recovered Casca might have her memories reset to a pre Guts time, and as such, be all in on joining Griffith in Falconia. That would drive Guts insane.

Aww... I really wish Miura made this chapter completely based in the dream world.



The first half wasn't that good, but I enjoyed the second half. Although, if they're going on a journey to get every piece of that doll back, this might take more than a year...

It's taken quite a while for them and it's now night time from the outside with the banquet going on. I understand why Guts of all people are the most worried because the party is pretty much going to Disneyland right after having your wife undergo brain surgery after having years of money and effort put into it. Those men-to-men talks were very nice though.



Farnese rested by a bonfire and triggered the campfire of dreams scene for them to feel and see what Casca felt in front of a side of Guts that was long lost. With the size of those pieces, it looks like it will take a long while and more demons have arrived. Good thing Schierke kept those knick knacks from the dream with her.
