Guts is relaxed! It's a miracle!

Guts and Serpico talking about deep feelings and all... If only they were completely wasted instead of just tipsy then that scene would've made more sense. And maybe would've been worth the amount of pages wasted on it.

Yeah, it's not like Guts spent five story years, seven actual ones and ten volumes apart of a mercenary band. Nope, he's just been the Black Swordsman for the whole duration of the series. Band of hawks/falcon? Who are those.

Calm before the storm chapter it seems to me. The ominous, foreboding "she may not want the sa,e as you" warning is repeated here. I very much fear that a recovered Casca might have her memories reset to a pre Guts time, and as such, be all in on joining Griffith in Falconia. That would drive Guts insane.

I can't imagine the relationship simply being all peaches and roses, and obviously she regressed for a reason. But I cannot even remotely see the point of an amnesia twist besides making Guts suffer more. How would she even begin to rationalize the, oh I don't know, mark on her chest that bleeds when apostles (of which the only one she's met was Zodd and Wyald) and dead souls try to kill and take over her body.  Or in the sheer proximity of her former leader? Or that she went from saving her crippled mercernary leader from a prison chamber to not only being non-crippled, but in marriage to Charlotte, and all her comrades being dead and being inside a magical fairy land.

The leap from chapter 72, where Griffith has no tongue, to now has waaay too many differences. She has to notice something's amiss the moment she wakes up to flying pixies. Besides, when she left with Guts, she obviously grew more apart from Griffith and closer to Guts. Even if she *didn't* know he was an onmipotent anti-christ figure, I still don't think she would have gone back to Griffith. Now, it shouldn't really be a contest.

I agree with you on almost all of your points. I forgot to add that I would very much prefer that Miura didn't explore that particular avenue. Nevertheless, some hints are there and I'm concerned that the temptation to crank the drama up to a 100 with a Casca obvious to what happened to her might be too great. It is immensely interesting to see how her situation is resolved, if at all. Years ago I though that the most likely outcome was to leave her in that childlike state, but now that Schierke and Farnese have gone so far, something's definitely got to give.

I never thought Guts would admit he changed out loud. was heartwarming seeing the dudes bonding together.

Oh yeah, Rickert. Totally forgot about him. I wonder if we will see him soon. IIRC he went to the lair of those assassin dudes, did he?

Loved the last chapter. Guts opening up to his comrades is heartwarming to say the least. He was a lone wolf, remember? Opening up to others is a great accomplishment.

As for the twist ending this is my guess: Casca joins Griffith, Guts went mad with grief, and he carries a behelith in his bag. Do the math...
