I'm with those saying that Guts+Cascas( tainted by Griffith) child is the "Moon-child". I also think that he and Griffith are one in the same, which will create a real dilemma for Guts later on when realizes this.I have a feeling he will have to make a final decision, similar to what happened to Griffith during the Eclipse, he will have to chose his own ambition(revenge in Guts case) or happiness; or maybe a third choice???
Once again we see the mermaids this time they save Guts, i just hope that's the end of it. Its time to move away from the cutesy stuff and get back to the old dark fantasy setting that Berserk has had from the start. I really hope Miura stops dragging his feet and finally moves the plot forward because we have been stuck on this same, lame arc for the past two years or so. Lets just get to Elfenhiem and get Caska's memories back already, instead of constantly talking about it.
On a side note, once again Miura decides to give a big F-you to the fans by going on break AGAIN. Honestly every year this guy seems to be releasing less and less chapters, i really hope his publishers start putting some pressure on his lazy ass. That or IDOLM@STER stops releasing their shitty games.

In short:
-Guts and Casca have sex
-Casca's pregnant at the time of the Eclipse, and is subsequently raped by Femto, tainting the child
-the demon baby is born shortly after the Eclipse
-Femto uses the demon baby to incarnate himself into the physical world, hence the Griffith we know now
-here's the tricky part. The demon baby either split itself into Griffith and the Moonlight boy, or Griffith and the boy are one. I'm personally going with the latter.
Unless the boy isn't related to anyone, but that really wouldn't make any sense.
In other news, Berserk's already going on break after this chapter. WTF, Miura. Not even 3 chapters this time around?
It's been awhile since I've read the last couple volumes so correct me if I'm wrong but even though he does taint the child I do not think it is the Griffith we know of now. I'm pretty sure in one of the earlier chapters we see Griffith transform from his human form to his demon form so he didn't need to necessarily use the baby as a vessel for him to be re-incarnated in. He has the power to change his looks on his own.
As for the demon boy himself I cannot say much on. I believe it is Guts and Caska's child however the reason for tainting the baby still alludes me. Perhaps he did not know she was pregnant at all and just did it to traumatize Guts and Caska to their breaking points or perhaps their is some sort of plan centered around the child. I am not sure, however I don't think he had anything to do with using the baby to re-incarnate Griffith.

The Moonlight Child guiding Guts out of the Sea God when he was on the verge of death and trapped in his unfeeling body within an imminent cave-in was nothing short of a miracle. That glowing kid's own dad almost stomped all over him the moment he was born yet he helped him find himself around the arms of super-strong and beautiful merrows. Seeing everyone look so happy at seeing Guts survive was a very emotional moment ♡

Is it safe to say Moonlight Child=Griffith? Look at his hair in this chapter. It has that same ethereal, cloud-like form.
Haven't read it yet, but isn't Moon Kid Guts and Caska's child? I mean I always thought he was .... That "monster" form was used up at the Eclipse and he returned like that.
I thought it was Caska+Griffith, not Guts. Since he looks like Griffith, and Guts seemed to be disgusted by him early on.

Really, this mermaid chapters feels like a filler. I wish the author could have just continued the story with them being on Elfheim already rather than prolonging it with stupid pirates and Sea monsters.
Also I missed the part of Berserk when it was only him and Puck killing apostles and ofc the Golden Age arc. I mean I'm fine with demons and other fantasy creatures heck even the Godhands but when the magic manipulation, random sadist chick and naruto wannabe got introduced to this manga, it just didnt felt as good as it was before.
I still find it weird that Casca is like a vegetable lol. With absolutely no memories from her past and is very useless because from my point of view, it was still like yesterday that she was the co-leader of the BoTH but then she got raped by Griffith and lost all her memories...
With the rise of the new "Falcon Kingdom" or w/e Griffith called it, this a manga is gonna feel more like a 21th-century RPG game rather than an 80's manga.
Still made it to my favorites because of Guts badassery.
