Berserk Chapter 103 Discussion

I'm left in awe at how thick this miasma of enigma is. Until I saw the Skull Knight battling Zodd at the beginning of this volume, I assumed he was a demon like the rest, but he certainly seems to be no enemy now. But I can't wrap my mind around what his goal, his purpose is. Whatever the case, he is most certainly an exceptionally interesting character. I wonder if he really is Gaiseric...?



Same with Zodd for that matter. While Zodd is certainly not an ally, he doesn't appear to be an enemy in the same sense the God Hand is and their horde of demons are.



This chapter, despite everything, was a soothing respite after all that happened. Knowing Rickert remains alive and well left me with a small sigh of relief too, considering what happened to everyone else...



I gotta say, I wasn't really feeling the mass amounts of praise the Golden Age arc gets -- and even now I still feel it is over-praised -- but since Guts left the Band of the Hawk before the timeskip this has been incredible. And the Eclipse in particular has been a monumental and epic pay off to the huge build up it received. Rarely have I felt such pure despair, trauma, and horror from a series. This climax is going down as one of my absolute favorite moments in fiction.

Skull Knight is the underdog of the story so far. A path of fate they didn't foresee? I hope Guts blows all their predictions out of the water.

Skull Knight saved the two from certain death~ Looks like Femto could've crushed them but he hesitated after looking at Guts. I bet he was thinking:"Yknow what, doing all that stuff to piss him off would be a waste if I killed him now."



Zodd should know that Rickert's the one with mad luck.

for some reason ,, I interpreted Femto reaching out to Guts , was him unconsciously motioning he wants Guts for himself .



He doesn't want Guts to leave the demon realm .. but realizing he's pushed his lover away , he decides to let him go
