Berserk Chapter 102 Discussion

Like I said above, these past few chapters have been nothing more than rape hentai. The plots starting to get a bit repetitive and chaotic.



Really, it's just bodily fluid flying everywhere and Casca moaning for dozens of panels in a row. Why isn't she resisting more? She's probably in shock and exhausted, but the idol she's always looked up to has just been reborn as a literal demon king, and her primary love interest Guts is mutilated and watching. She could've struggled a bit more or expressed some slight dissatisfaction.



At this point, I've grown numb. I have the exact opposite reaction as all these people saying "WTF" and "I'm crying." Nothing means anything anymore in this manga.



And "if you don't like it, don't read it" is not a valid excuse, either. M'kay, I do like the manga, as do tons of other people. But they're allowed to express dissatisfaction when a talented manga author makes the wrong choice, or when tropes start to become redundant. I'm not discontent with the edginess or vulgarity -- I just think the entertainment value is starting to decline. What was an intricate political epic has been reduced to forty chapters of grotesque monster faces and Casca's breasts.

That was fucked up but I can't bring myself to hate Griffith for some reason.

Well, if anyone ever wanted to know where the title of the series came from.....I think this is a good indicator. God damn....the rage from Guts. I mean, Griffith was his FRIEND and a guy Guts and Casca looked up to. To sacrifice all of these "treasured" allies and rape Casca in front of Guts.....the rage on Guts face really says it all.

Yeah, Griffith very clearly resented Guts on some level for leaving the Hawks, having Casca, and being able to fight while he couldn't. The rape scene is him taking all that anger out. Now we know where all that rage Guts has as the Black Swordsman came from.

Since rape is portrayed as something horrible, he clearly does not have a "rape fetish". He is just aware that rape is very much a real thing.

Griffith is a sick bastard..not only did he rape Casca for such a long time which is extremely horrible, but he also did it in front of Guts, pobably due to his anger and vengeful feelings.

I could somewhat understand Griffith towards a certain extent, wanting to fulfil his dream, being so severy handicapped and all, but this made me feel disgusted by him. Guts should cut his fucking throat.

I don't know if I'm more disgusted by Griffith's rape, excited for Skull Knight's arrival (Is Zodd dead?) or grieved for Guts and Casca.
